SFA collaborated with Hotel Bethlehem to conduct a feasibility study exploring a potential expansion of the historic hotel. The project involves an expanded parking garage – built on the approximate footprint of the existing parking area – with additional floors of hotel space to accommodate more guests rooms and suites, as well as event spaces for weddings and conferences.

The hotel expansion would be connected to the existing Hotel’s third-floor corridor and meeting rooms by a skyway from the new parking garage elevator landing. The expansion would include a flexible event space, which would allow the Hotel to attract more business to Bethlehem and compete with other destination hotels in the Lehigh Valley. The larger event space capacity would enable the Hotel to host more events per year, as the existing two ballrooms are currently unable to keep up with demand. It would also allow the Hotel to accommodate larger events involving 200+ guests, which is the current capacity of their largest ballroom.
