In 1927, steel was king and the city’s fortunes revolved around it. The fledgling architecture firm’s two partners, Curtis Lovelace and Otto Spillman, were commissioned to design grand homes for executives employed by Bethlehem Steel Company and others connected to this industrial giant. Along with its reputation, the firm grew from two partners to a team of professionals. Our client base grew from private individuals to the City of Bethlehem and beyond. Today our work takes us across the country, but we remain committed to upholding the standards of excellence established by our founders over 80 years ago.
